  • We are pleased to announce JUMELER, a gallery exchange initiative between Enari Gallery in Amsterdam and DMWin Antwerp. Derived from the French word meaning “pairing” or “twinning”, often used to signify the symbolic partnership between cities, Jumeler reflects the spirit of collaboration at the heart of this exhibition. On this occasion, Antwerp’s DMW Gallery and Amsterdam’s Enari Gallery join forces to present exhibitions in each other’s spaces, stepping into a new city to engage with its unique local context and audience.

  • JUMELER REFLECTS A SPIRIT OF EXCHANGE AND COLLABORATION
  • This exhibition extends beyond a simple exchange of gallery spaces. It captures the spirit of sister cities, where Antwerp and Amsterdam, through their vibrant artistic communities, form a connection rooted in creativity, collaboration, and cultural dialogue. While not officially twinned, the temporary artistic partnership between DMW and Enari Galleries echoes the goals of sister city relationships around the world: to foster connection, exchange ideas, and promote mutual understanding.

    ANTWERPEN CHAPTER
For the Antwerp chapter of Jumeler, Enari Gallery is proud to present four of its represented artists: Raffael Bader, Johanna Bath, Tom Solty and Dimitris Tampakis.

While each artist offers a unique perspective, their practices intersect through common explorations of memory, materiality, perception, and transformation.

  • Johanna Bath
    Red Robin, 2025

    Johanna Bath

Johanna Bath was born in 1980 in Warendorf, Germany. After her highschool diploma in 1999, she moved to Hamburg to get a professional training in Illustration Design at Bildkunst Akademie, Hamburg. Bath finished with a degree in 2002 but felt the need to deepen and expand her artistic skills and applied for Design Studies at the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft, Hamburg (HAW).

The idea of “time” and everything that is linked to that emotionally such as memory, transience and the brevity of a moment drives her need to paint. Time is abstract and therefore tricky to paint but when connected to our experience and memory, it is filled with sentiment and emotion. When painting, Johanna reflects on those narratives of time and memory and tries to depict "a sense of time" on canvas.
  • Raffael Bader
    A Major Pink Cloud, 2023

    Raffael Bader

Leipzig-based visual artist, Raffael Bader, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Leipzig, Germany, in 2019. In 2020 he began exhibiting internationally, including in Switzerland and the USA. In 2020 he received the "Denkzeit" grant from the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony, and in 2021 he received a work scholarship from the Stiftung Kunstfonds, Bonn. He currently lives and works in Leipzig, Germany.

The artist states ''I understand my painting as an open process, so I do not seek perfection, which would seem like the end of potential. Thus, I have realized that the possibility of imperfection leads me to an abstract way of working, where I can focus on the essentials and create works that invite the viewer to resonate with their own experience and inner state.''
  • Dimitris Tampakis
    She sought cracked pleasures, 2024

    Dimitris Tampakis

Dimitris Tampakis is a Greek artist, designer and co-founder of the art group un.processed.realities, which engages in art and design in Athens and Tinos. His work embodies a desire that is both deadly and liberating, reflecting the complexities of the new human experience, a hybrid being navigating an anesthetized society in search of existential awakening. He delves into the psyche of those who crave unexpected encounters, moments that elicit discomfort and challenge perceptions. Tampakis focuses on these cringeworthy peaks where profound awakenings may occur.

His work occupies a space between the primitive and the estranged, inviting contemplation of humanity's trajectory. Tampakis is deliberate in his consideration of the viewer’s perspective, strategically placing his sculptures within gallery spaces to encourage engagement from multiple angles.
  • Tom Solty
    Feel flows, 2024

    Tom Solty

Tom Solty was born in Aachen, Germany in 1992. He studied Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht, Netherlands between 2012 and 2015. Later on in 2018 he moved to Lisbon, Portugal to explore the field of contemporary painting and succeeded his Master of painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 2021.
Tom Solty's work explores the relationship between landscape painting and the realities of modern life. While he is drawn to the peaceful order of landscapes, he also tackles the chaos and disruption that define contemporary existence. As he explores these ideas, Solty is drawn to exaggeration, especially when looking at human impact on nature. Over the past two years, moving from the city to the countryside has been a life-changing experience. The move took time and effort, but it helped him reconnect with parts of life that had been distant or overlooked.
