This work exemplifies Dimitris Tampakis’ commitment to material transformation and emotional depth. Using oxidized zinc and aluminium, he allows natural processes, corrosion, decay, and unpredictability, to become central to the sculpture’s meaning. Cracks, textures, and oxidized surfaces evoke the tension between fragility and resilience. The interplay of light on oxidized metal surfaces reveals the life force within what is broken, unstable, and in flux.
