Throughout Limniou’s broader practice, human and nature are inextricably intertwined. Her depictions of people, animals, and the elements emerge from a shared ecology of gesture, ritual, and memory. In works such as Seagulls, the birds become emissaries of the elemental world, echoes of the dance between human presence and nature’s rhythms. Seagulls captures a transient moment at the coast, a swirl of wings caught in pastel haze, the salt air hinted at through layered gesture. Limniou’s subtle color palette, sky blues, stone taupes, muted whites, evokes the hush before flight, the memory of calling birds at dawn. The forms are almost abstract, dissolving into ambient light.
