The Source is a sensory meditation on the elemental pulse of Greek summer: light stirs across canvas in soft undulations, breathes through layered oil, and dissipates in marks that suggest wind, warmth, and gentle movement. Limniou captures place not by depiction but by evocation: surfaces hum with salt air, ochre tones carry the heat of midday, and pastel rhythms echo coastal tides. Consistent with her broader body of work, the piece embodies the relationship between humanity and nature. Though no figure is shown, human memory and presence resonate in each shimmer of light and tactile gesture, rendering The Source as both environmental portrait and emotional landscape.
