In Hindsight, Rebecca Storm presents a still life of broken glasses resting on the Ten of Swords tarot card. Commonly associated with betrayal, ruin, and painful finality, the card also symbolizes an absolute ending, a moment after which nothing can return to how it was before. The shattered glasses reinforce this idea through their association with vision and perception; broken lenses suggest an inability to see clearly, while removing them implies surrender and acceptance rather than resistance. The recurring red material, also seen in Like Maraschino Cherries, connects the work to themes of emotional concealment and unresolved vulnerability. Together, these objects create a meditation on clarity gained only after loss, when reflection arrives too late to alter the outcome.
