Kim’s work resists linear narratives, instead offering a space of quiet reflection and layered meaning. In Big Fish, Minyoung Kim draws on her signature symbolic vocabulary, to evoke a layered psychological space. The central fish, rendered with quiet intensity, floats in an ambiguous environment that feels both intimate and surreal. At once calming and uncanny, the fish becomes a vessel for emotional duality, embodying stillness, depth, and subconscious flow.
