In Plush Toys in Dumpster, Özakat revisits the uncanny imagery that shaped his early experiences of the internet. The scene, a heap of discarded stuffed animals, is both surreal and strangely familiar, echoing the unsettling randomness of online image culture in the 2000s. The work becomes a meditation on digital detritus, collective memory, and the emotional residue left by images we barely remember, but never fully forget.
