Within Geyer's motifs lies a symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature, where the natural world is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the depicted living space.

Thomas Geyer's artistic journey is deeply rooted in the exploration of familiar living spaces, drawing inspiration from his experiences and surroundings. His compositions often emerge from places he frequents or calls home, capturing the essence of these environments without overtly depicting human figures. Through skillful use of color, Geyer meticulously crafts atmospheres that set the mood and evoke subtle narratives. Light sources, contrasts, and nuanced hues play pivotal roles in shaping the emotional landscape of his work, akin to orchestrating a dramatic production on a stage.

Within Geyer's motifs lies a symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature, where the natural world is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the depicted living space. Nature's presence, for him, is essential—an intrinsic aspect of his own sense of belonging and longing. Painting serves as a form of compensation, offering Geyer a means to create windows to alternate realms, beckoning viewers to step into the realms of his imagination.

Geyer's chosen medium of egg tempera reflects his mastery and affinity for traditional techniques honed through years of study. Utilizing eggs, linseed oil, and carefully mixed pigments, he achieves a harmonious fusion of materials that imbue his works with a natural authenticity. The canvas itself, crafted from wood and linen, further enhances this symbiosis, culminating in artworks that resonate with a captivating sense of realism and depth.

Thomas Geyer obtained a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts, Leipzig in 2010. Following his graduation, Geyer has been showcased in many exhibitions, both solo and group shows. In addition to that, he has taken part in various art fairs, mainly in Germany, including Switzerland and The Netherlands.
